The developers of Laurel Point, a large Planned ResidentialDevelopment of 157 single-family units in two phases, received final approvalfrom Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors for both the first and second phases of theirproject at the March 1 Board meeting. The PRD will be built on a 115-acre propertyacquired from the Fresh Air Camp, adjacent to the Family Resource Center. Its developers expect to begin construction ofPhase One this year. The plan, which isin the southeastern area of Cranberry, will have vehicle access at two pointsalong Franklin Road, as well as through a trail connecting it to the adjacentCranberry Woods Business Park. Laurel Pointwill feature two types of housing: Condo-style Villas, which have their lawnsand shrubbery maintained by the homeowners’ association, and Estate Homes,which are larger and for which the maintenance is the individual homeowner’sresponsibility.
