Normal road traffic in Cranberry sometimes includes people trafficking in vehicles stolen from communities all around the Tri-state area. That makes the Township an ideal location for law enforcement officers specializing in auto theft. At its March 30 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with Pennsylvania’s State Police to provide full funding for a veteran police officer with extensive experience in dealing with vehicle theft. That officer will participate in the Township’s auto theft/motor vehicle insurance fraud task force. For more information, contact police chief Kevin Meyer at kevin.meyer@CranberryTownship.org.
