Manager's Coffee: Keeping Cranberry Safe

Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Real emergencies – fires, crashes, workplace accidents, and more – typically require a response from multiple agencies. Time is always of the essence and coordination between the services is critical. In most major cities, all the key emergency services operate as municipal departments. In Cranberry, however, those agencies each have their own history, administration and financial lives. That presents distinctive challenges to the Township’s emergency operations – ones that the leaders of those services have been working on for years to ensure a seamless response to emergencies in Cranberry.

Township Manager Jerry Andree, together with Cranberry’s Chief of Police, its EMS Executive Director, and the Township’s Director of Fire and Emergency Services, will host a Coffee and Conversation session in the Public Safety Training Center, behind the Public Works Operations Center next to Community Park.  They will discuss how local residents should keep themselves safe and how the Township itself prepares for and responds to emergencies.

Attendance at this informational event is free and open to anyone.  No advance reservations are required, but for planning purposes, an RSVP via the online form or a call to 724-776-4806 x1089 would be appreciated.
